Clifford's Gift

What happens to your Animal if…..

August 8, 2021 by Clifford & Shelley Leave a Comment

What happens to your Animal if you pass away?  Always important to make sure you have provided for your special companion if something happens to you.  We never like to think about passing away but we need too.  We need to make sure the ones we love are going to be looked after.

Have a talk with family members or friends to determine who would take care of your animal should something happen to you.  Your special animal no longer has you around, as no home and no idea what is going to happen to them.

This is a very frightening time for them.  Can you imagine now having to go somewhere where you don’t know anyone?  One minute you have a loving forever home and the next you are in a kennel with a lot of other animals around.  No idea where their human is and doesn’t seem to be coming to get them.

Unfortunately these animals start to withdraw.  Emotional, mental and physical ailments start.  They are hard to adopt out especially if older.

Don’t let this be the fate of your animal if something happens to you.  Start your talks now with family members or friends.  Who would be willing to take in your animal?  Who would you like to have loving your special animal if this happened?

Once this has been determined, let everyone know so there is no confusion.  Even add this in your WILL.  Make sure this person already has a relationship with your animal.  A person they know and like.

This will give you peace of mind that your special companion will be looked after.  They will continue to feel “loved”.  They deserve us making sure they are always taken care of no matter what.
