Who is up for the challenge?    

 

The beautiful, kind and funny Betty White was not only an actress also a devoted animal lover.  She helped animal shelters and rescues.  She helped with saving endangered species around the world.  She loved the animals small and large.  Betty saw the importance of these animals in our lives and being on this earth with us.  Whether your interest is with wildlife or domesticated animals the welfare of each is important.   Let’s help these amazing animals by supporting this wonderful challenge.

 

On January 17, 2022 Betty White would turn 100 years old.  The challenge is asking each of us to donate $5.00 to an animal shelter or rescue.  This means any organization that is helping the animals whether wild or domesticated towards making their life better.  You choose which one you would like to donate too.  This truly is amazing gift for the animals.  What better way to celebrate Betty White’s 100^th birthday.  Let’s honor Betty and the animals.

Now why don’t we take this further?  Tomorrow we could donate more than $5.00 or to multiple organizations.  Donate what is within your budget.  Every amount helps and will be appreciated by the organizations.

 

Another way to take this further would be to make this an annual or even more often event.  What about for one of your own animals or an animal that has made a difference in your life.  You could decide on a day each year that you will donate with them in your thoughts, could be an animal that has passed, an animal’s birthday, the day an animal helped save your life or the day you met a particular animal and it made a positive change within your life.

 

You can pick any reason why this would motivate you to help each year or more often.  Lots of the organizations will setup these donations monthly, semi-annual or annually for you.  The amount is always your choice and can be changed at any time.

 

Consider all the animals that have been suffering through extreme climate changes like fires and floods.  Media talk about the human lives lost but hardly ever mention the loss of animals’ lives.  These animals that do make it through are usually displaced from their homes, their families and hurting.  These organizations work tirelessly to help the animals and because of this Betty White Challenge, we can bring to light that these animals need and deserve our help on a regular basis.  More and more we hear about the animals being the reason humans are being saved.

Let’s pay it forward and further.  Donate tomorrow and feel how good that felt to know you just helped an animal with a meal, bed or even saved their life.  Feels good, then take it further and continue to support the animals!  Guaranteed they will be grateful!
